The Dance Day event is famous for a copious crew of performers. What number are we talking about? So, the number is around 9 thousand folk group dancers performing in the arena. 9 thousand dancers on one stage! What a performance such a tremendous lot can give? The dancers make up a joint dance composition based on a particular folklore theme, family, field-work, festival traditions. The Dance Day’s spectacle is a result of the creative genius of professional choreographers and stylised folk-dance representatives. The eyes of the audience dance along trying to catch the spins, steps and sweeps. The composition is performed so organically it seems that all dancers were born already knowing every step of the dance.
The peculiarity of the Dance Day is the stage shimmering from choreographic drawings, creating an illusion of an endless, continuous river of dancers. The colours and patterns of traditional costumes from all Lithuanian regions make the flow of this river even more magical. This beauty flows into a whole synchronic spectacle.
