Uniqueness

Lithuanian Song Celebration is unique in its spirit and its content. Learn about the mystical Cantor Lituanus tribe and find out more about all the events of the Celebration!

When it seems that we already know everything about Lithuanian regions, there is always something more to discover for everyone’s surprise. The first day of the Song Celebration is dedicated to folklore. The event hosts over 4 thousand performers coming to the Bernardinai Garden to present the Lithuanian regions - Aukštaitija, Žemaitija, Suvalkija, Dzūkija and Lithuania Minor.

Representatives of each region seek to reveal the traditions characteristic to their region in their songs and dances. Visitors of the event may swipe between separate spaces and discover the regions by not only listening to songs and dances, but also tasting traditional dishes and drinks, admiring the craftwork at the fair. Every visitor interested in own and other region would definitely find an interesting activity. Explore, talk and taste!

The Folklore Day events ends with a massive singing of folk songs. Did you know that?
